country twilight

the heat of the sun has waned and the birds have come out of their shaded homes to feed on bugs and for a cool drink of water. The colors mix in the sky, no longer a blazing blue, put more of a powder purple and a tempered lapis. Twilight is the time of calm where humans and animals are doing their last bustle before retiring for the night. The air becomes heavy so the scents of the sun baked earth and the floating pollen mix to make a great aroma. Twilight is my favorite time of night, it transports me into a picture book. some people crave the sunrise, but not me, I crave the gloaming.

Learning to blog

I have made it out of the cave! I am learning about the world of blogging and I am fascinated. I have rebelled against the technological wheel, oh sure I e-mail, I shop on-line, and I even have i-tunes, but the world of the blog I have shyed away from. I feel very much like the man that made it out of Plato's allegorical cave. I have seen the light, or rather all the possible avenues for perspective and truth. Hallelujah.
